Drug Take Back Event

It is time for another Drug Take Back Event!  On Saturday, April 28th, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. the Cape Girardeau Police Department, the Jackson Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) will give the public its 13th opportunity in six years to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs.  Bring your pills for disposal to the New Cape Girardeau Police Department, located at 2530 Maria Louise lane in Cape Girardeau, or the Jackson Police and Fire Station located at 525 South Hope Street in Jackson. (The DEA cannot accept liquids or needles or sharps, only pills or patches.)  The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked.

Joining together in a common effort to build a healthy and safe community, reducing the risks of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs while promoting the healthy attitudes and behaviors of youth in Southeast Missouri.
