Letter from our Chair-Elect

To the EPIC Coalition,

The three years I have spent as a member of the EPIC Coalition is not a great deal of time, but I have seen a great deal of accomplishments.  Much of this success can be attributed to what I believe to be the greatest strength of the coalition, diversity.  Armed with current information and tactics, the coalition has given a platform for each member to utilize these tools effectively with their particular skills and means.  This combined with the unparalleled passions of the members creates a force to be reckoned with.

How I was to contribute to the coalition when I was fortunate enough to become a member was unbeknownst to me, I only knew I wanted to be a part of the effort. My philosophy going in; volunteer for any and every task that I think I can handle and have a little fun with.  In this measure some of my pursuits have turned out better than others, but I’ve enjoyed every minute of it! This is why it was to my surprised that I was honored with the Jim Maginel Award. To be doing work that you enjoy and consider yourself lucky to be a part of is an award in itself. To be recognized for being ‘outstanding’ by such an outstanding group of people is humbling. Thank you.

I would also like to thank the coalition for electing me as their next Chairperson.  It is a great responsibility that I am happy to accept and I hope I can do justice. Thank you for having faith in my abilities and in my dedication to this organization.
